Sedor: BU wins despite not playing best game
BOSTON — It felt like déjà vu all over again as the Boston University women’s basketball team was to square off against Hartford for the first time since last year’s America East title game. Today the Terriers made sure that history did not repeat itself, erasing a seven-point halftime deficit and winning 53-46.
The Hawks (11-10, 2-5 AE) came out hot and simply looked more intense on both ends of the court. Before BU even knew what happened they were trailing 8-0. BU had trouble keeping the visiting team off the glass and were only able to grab eight rebounds in the first half. The Terriers worked to close the deficit through the first half and closed the gap to just three points before Alex Hall hit back-to-back three pointers to stretch the Hawk lead to 26-17 at the half.

BOSTON — Just after Boston University’s men’s hockey team knotted the score at 2-2, Northeastern rushed up the ice with numbers. Freshman Adam Reid opted to take the shot instead of pass to teammate and former Terrier Vinny Saponari, but BU netminder Kieran Millan came up with the save to preserve the score.
Saponari punched the air in frustration, and it took BU 3:28 minutes to score three goals and grab the 3-2 lead on freshman Evan Rodrigues’ first collegiate goal.
Millan finished with 31 saves, including his stop on Reid, and junior Wade Megan paced BU’s offense with two goals to help the Terriers (12-6-1, 10-4-1 HE) take down the Huskies (8-8-3, 4-8-2 HE) 4-3 on Friday night at Matthews Arena.
